Malaria is an awful disease. Malaria is caused by protozoan parasites of the genus Plasmodium. Malaria parasites are transmitted from one person to another by the female anopheline mosquito. The males do not transmit the disease as they feed only on plant juices. There are about 380 species of anopheline mosquito, but only 60 or so are able to transmit the parasite. Like all other mosquitos, the anophelines breed in water, each species having its preferred breeding grounds, feeding patterns and resting place. Their sensitivity to insecticides is also highly variable.
Mosquitoes are like little robots. These robots are great at finding warm-blooded people. A mosquito's head is loaded with a system of "people sensors." It starts with chemical sensors. With their antenna, mosquitoes can sense carbon dioxide and lactic acid up to 100 feet away. They can also detect chemicals in sweat.
I think that action should be taken. Charities for supporting the research and curing of this disease should be made. Fundraisers for giving impoverished people vaccines and cures should be set up. For more information, there are lots of websites available.

Cellphone Novels

A new literary craze is sweeping the nation of Japan. In a day and age where nearly every kid in that country has a cell phone, they are used for almost anything. This includes text messaging, e-mailing, and much more that involves typing, and typing fast. Some people are beginning to capitalize on this skill by writing what are known as cellphone novels, short novels writen entirely on cellphones.

Out with the old, in with Yahoo

Yahoo is planning a huge change to try to remain a rival of google. The are going to add outside applications in order to try to get more people to be interested in their site. They're also trying to make their e-mail system more effective and more appealing. They are trying to take the ideas of all the other successful internet sites, and use them to make their site the best.

Facebook is an ever-growing site that allows people to interact and talk with eachother. It has also used outside applications successfully. They allow other sites and other people to design programs and then they put them on Facebook to be joined or used by whoever wants to use them. This is one of the "new" ideas that Yahoo has for it's new site. This is Mark Zucherburg, the founder of Facebook.

Yahoo is going to watch over the searches that are made with their search engine, and try to appeal to the audience that makes up the majority by putting featured articles on the front.

If Yahoo wants to become a major search engine, their going to have to compete Google, Facebook, and many other sites out there, and I just don't think they can do it.

Creativity

I need a certain environment to be creative. I need it to not be silent. I cannot work well without a little bit of noise and chaos going on around me, but it can't affect me directly. I need to be distracted while I work otherwise I can't stand whatever it is I'm doing, whether it's homework, writing, drawing, or some other kind of creation.

Frustration with HTML

While learning about HTML, we have all face some frustrating moments. I remember being very frustrated about not being able to make my tables exactly the way I wanted them to be. I also found it frustrating trying to get one color for my text or background but putting in the wrong code and getting a different color.

HTML tutorial

That video was a really great way to learn the very basic HTML code. If you don't know any code at all, this is a great place to learn how to start. After this, I would suggest going to a site with more detailed codes, such as HTML goodies.
